Philip Christopher

President & CEO

 

Mr. Christopher is the President and Founder of American Network Solutions, and has been a leader in the wireless industry for over 30 years. Most recently, he served as President & CEO of Personal Communications Devices, LLC (PCD), formerly UTStarcom Personal Communications Division. Under Mr. Christopher’s leadership, PCD revolutionized the way wireless products come to market, serving as a global gateway for technology partners and providing high-quality, wireless communications devices throughout the world. Value-added services, such as engineering, quality control, sales support, marketing and warranty support were among the offerings provided by PCD that differentiated it from other wireless industry suppliers.

 

Formerly President & CEO of Audiovox Communications Corporation (ACC) and Executive Vice President of Audiovox Corporation, Mr. Christopher began with Audiovox in 1970 and was elected to the company’s Board in 1987. He was instrumental in launching Audiovox Communications Corporation in 1984, and helped spearhead a joint venture between ACC and Toshiba in 2000. Mr. Christopher remained as President & CEO until ACC was acquired by UTStarcom in 2004. With the acquisition, UTStarcom Personal Communications Division was formed where, as President & CEO, Mr. Christopher is credited with growing the division’s revenues and profits to record levels.

 

In 2008, Mr. Christopher led a management leveraged buyout along with investment partner AIG to form Personal Communications Devices as a privately owned company.

 

In the 28 years Mr. Christopher has been involved in the wireless industry, he has worked with every top carrier in North and South America including Verizon Wireless, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and carriers in Canada and Latin America. He is responsible for bringing many recognizable brand manufacturers to the Americas, including Toshiba, LG, HTC, Pantech, Casio and Sharp.

 

Born in Kyrenia, Cyprus, Mr. Christopher immigrated to the
United States with his family when he was 10 years old. He is
one of the most highly regarded leaders in the Greek-Cypriot and Greek-American communities, marking three decades of ongoing advocacy for these groups. He is president of the International Coordinating Committee for Justice for Cyprus and of the Pancyprian Association of America. Mr. Christopher is a
graduate of New York University.
